How to clean and care for your Liki Trike

Taking proper care of your Liki Trike is simple and straightforward. With active toddlers, you’ll want to take care of it properly to ensure it stays in great shape for years of fun. We’ve made it easy with our care and cleaning guide. Check out these simple tips to keep your Liki Trike looking and performing its best on all your outdoor adventures!

Cleaning your Liki Trike

Liki Trike is the world’s most compact folding trike and the perfect way to help your growing toddler have fun while gaining independence. Similar to the Doona Car Seat and Stroller, cleaning your Liki Trike is simple and straightforward. Follow these tips to keep your Liki looking its best.

Removing and cleaning the textiles

Removing and cleaning the upper and lower seat pads and canopy is simple. All of our fabrics are machine washable with a mild detergent. That means no bleaches or strong detergents, and hang them dry for best results. Do not put Liki textiles in the dryer.

Cleaning the handlebars, wheels, and pedals

Cleaning the different structural and support areas of your Liki Trike is easy. Wet a washcloth with soapy, warm water and gently scrub the handlebars, wheels, cup holder, and pedal until all visible debris is removed. For more helpful “How to Videos”, check out our support page.

Caring for your Liki Trike

Follow the simple steps below to maintain your Liki Trike for years.

Check for damage before each ride

To maintain your Liki Trike, check for any damage, excessive wear, and missing or loose parts before each use. If you find any damage or unaccounted pieces to the trike, replace them as soon as possible. Check out Liki spare parts.

Lubricate moving parts

To keep your little one riding happily, lubricate all moving parts occasionally, using a few drops of PTFE lubricant, which can help reduce wear, lower friction, and protect parts of the trike.

Avoid rough or muddy terrain

Liki Trike is designed to handle stable, flat surfaces such as concrete sidewalks, driveways, or wooden decks. We suggest avoiding grass, mud, sand, or areas with excessive leaves on the ground.

Best practices for storage and travel

When storing your Liki Trike, make sure it’s in a clean dry place. When traveling, be sure to use the Liki Trike Premium Storage Bag to keep it dry and protected from damage.

That’s it! You’ve now got all the information you need to keep your Liki Trike looking and performing its best for as long as possible. If you haven’t purchased it yet, it’s the perfect first birthday gift!
