Outdoor Activities

South Pointe Park

Neighborhood: South Beach

Age: All ages

Price: Free

South Pointe Park offers the best of everything. With a grassy park and playground, beautiful beach, restaurants, and a boardwalk, you can easily spend the whole afternoon enjoying nature. Have a picnic in the grass and watch the cruise ships go by, or walk down to the beach for some fun in the sun. For a meal that will satisfy the whole family, check out Smith & Wollensky on the boardwalk for a fabulous dinner with an ocean view, or Joe’s Stone Crab just a five minute walk from the park. There are many hotel options in the area, like the Eden Roc, the Grand Beach, or 1 Hotel, all fun for toddlers and relaxing for adults!


Fairchild Tropical Gardens

Neighborhood: Coral Gables

Age: All ages

Price: Free admission for children ages 0-5. Tickets for children ages 6 and up start at $11.95. 

Fairchild’s beautiful property provides a memorable experience for the whole family, from the Tropical Rainforest, to a spectacular butterfly exhibit with hundreds of butterflies and colorful orchids and plants. There’s also a Children’s Garden and an Expedition Discovery Program to teach kids how to become plant explorers. Grab a bite to eat at the Garden Restaurant, and make sure to check out any events or workshops they host throughout the month including painting, gardening, yoga classes, bird watching, scavenger hunts, dog dates, and more! 


Wynwood Walls

Neighborhood: Wynwood

Wynwood Walls are colorful outdoor murals located in the art district of Miami. Easily stroll through the neighborhood to explore various art galleries, unique shops, and local cafes and restaurants. Some of our favorite family-friendly spots include Zak the Baker, Love Life Cafe, and 1-800 Lucky. There’s so much to discover in this unique neighborhood, plus the designed walls make for stunning backdrops, offering plenty of opportunities for family photos!


Legion Park Farmers Market

Neighborhood: Little River

Age: All ages

Price: Free

Legion Park Farmers Market is a wonderful way to spend the morning with your little ones. Open every Saturday from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM, let your kids run free on the grass or playground, or bring your dog along for a visit to the dog park. Enjoy a fresh breakfast while supporting local farms, and even do some grocery shopping. There are also tons of shops, cafes, and cozy bakeries nearby that parents can visit to get some work done or have a solo breakfast, like LA Social or Caracas Bakery for delicious Venezuelan and French-inspired coffee and pastries. When the market closes, check out Upper Buena Vista, a nearby area with various boutiques and restaurants. 


Lincoln Road Mall

Neighborhood: Lincoln Road

Lincoln Road is the perfect place to spend the day as a family. Explore shops, restaurants, and unique experiences like the Soundscape Park. Grab lunch at various local spots including Ceviche 105 for authentic Peruvian food, or Harry’s Pizzeria for cozy American-Italian. There’s also a farmers market every Sunday with local vendors selling produce, street food, art, clothes and antiques. For a sweet treat, head to The Frieze for delicious homemade ice cream!

Superblue Miami offers an immersive art experience that is captivating for all ages. Visitors can not only view art but also engage with exhibits and experience it through all of their senses. It features immersive installations by some of the world's most renowned contemporary artists blending technology, visual art, and environmental design. Not only are they stroller-friendly, they also offer sensory-friendly sessions, supporting guests who are neurodiverse or have sensory input disorders. Frost Museum of Science

Neighborhood: Downtown Miami

The Frost Museum offers a wonderful mix of activities that both parents and toddlers can enjoy together. Exhibits like The Dig and Journey to Space spark curiosity, while Feathers to the Stars introduces the wonders of flight in a fun and interactive way. Toddlers will love the hands-on experiences in the meLab, where they can explore how the body and mind work together, and the Sun Spot exhibit offers a simple yet engaging introduction to solar energy. Don’t miss the planetarium, with mesmerizing visual displays of outer space, making it a memorable experience for the whole family.


Pérez Museum of Art

PAMM offers a variety of interactive and visually stimulating exhibits that your little ones can engage with. It often hosts family programs, including art workshops and educational activities, or guided tours in different languages. It’s also stroller-friendly, so you can stroll through different exhibits with ease. When you finish exploring, enjoy a delicious lunch at Verde, the museum’s seafront bar and grill. Find the W Hotel or the Mandarin Oriental nearby, both great hotel options with amenities for adults and children.
