Black History Month is a celebration of Black history and culture, and all the incredible accomplishments the African American community has achieved. Throughout elementary school, most children learn about social justice activists such as Martin Luther King Jr. and Rosa Parks. These influential figures are so important to our history, but there are many other African Americans who broke down barriers and made a difference throughout history.
